Procurement contract awarded to Sensys by the Swedish Transport Administration is maintained
25-06-2013
The Administrative Court has found that the Swedish Transport Administration's decision to award a procurement contract for traffic-safety cameras to Sensys Traffic AB was carried out correctly.
As previously announced, Sensys has received a procurement award decision from the Swedish Transport Administration regarding measurement systems for traffic-safety cameras. This procurement process was appealed. The case has now been considered by the Administrative Court, which found that the procurement process was carried out correctly, and that the procurement award decision is thereby valid. This procurement of traffic-safety cameras is worth at least SEK 110 million.
Further to the decision of the Administrative Court, a period of 10 days must be respected before the contract may be signed, during which the appealing party has the right to appeal the Administrative Court's decision to the Administrative Court of Appeal.
The Swedish Transport Administration's decision to award to Sensys the procurement contract regarding measurement cabinets for traffic-safety cameras has not been re-appealed. The Swedish Transport Administration thereby intends to sign contracts for measurement cabinets and measurement systems at the same time. Sensys will make an announcement when such contracts have been finalised.
