Order from Dubai worth SEK 7 million
10-06-2015
SENSYS Traffic AB, a global supplier of traffic safety solutions, has received an order for traffic safety systems from Dubai, United Arab Emirates, worth SEK 7 million.
For Sensys, the Middle East is today its next largest market, a region in which the company has customers in 8 out of a total of 14 countries. The addressable market in the Middle East has a total population of approximately 350 million inhabitants. These countries have high road traffic death rates and, in order to improve traffic safety, considerable efforts are being put into developing infrastructure and safety primarily in the rapidly growing big cities. The market for traffic safety systems in the region therefore shows significant growth, which makes it strategically important for Sensys. It is against this background that Sensys has, therefore, established a local office in Dubai.
”We continue to reap success in the Middle East. This order from the Dubai police is the result of a long period of marketing together with our new partners in the Emirates. The order is also confirmation that we are at the cutting edge of technology,” says Torbjörn Sandberg, CEO at Sensys.
