Order from United Arab Emirates worth SEK 3.5 million

02-03-2015

SENSYS Traffic AB, a global supplier of traffic safety solutions, has received an order for traffic safety systems worth SEK 3.5 million from the United Arab Emirates.

Sensys has its biggest installed base, alongside Sweden, in the United Arab Emirates. This order comes from one of Sensys’ existing customers in the country.

The Middle East is currently Sensys’ second largest market and the company now has customers in eight of the region’s 14 countries. The market in the Middle East has a combined population of approximately 350 million. These countries have high road fatality rates, and to improve the situation some major investments are currently under way to develop infrastructure and safety, primarily in the rapidly growing cities. There is therefore strong growth in the market for traffic safety systems in the region, which means that it is strategically important for Sensys. It is against this background that Sensys will be opening a local office in the Middle East during the second quarter of 2015.

“Our positive growth continues in the Middle East, and this order further secures our position in the United Arab Emirates. We see a trend in the Middle East of customers tending to procure more, smaller projects instead of a few large ones. This is good for market growth, as customers are reducing their risks and enhancing the probability of success,” says Sensys CEO Johan Frilund.
