Sensys Gatso receives contract extension in Abington, Pennsylvania
15-09-2017
The Township of Abington, Pennsylvania has decided to extend the current contract for managed service with Gatso USA, a subsidiary of Sensys Gatso Group with 3 years till November 2020. This extension of the automated red light enforcement program has a value of USD 1.5 million, corresponding to SEK 12 million.
The 3-year contract extension, effective 30th September, is for the continued maintenance and operation of a managed service program based on T-Series cameras and the Xilium back office solution, originally awarded to Gatso USA in 2014. The contract extension is expected to generate USD 1.5 million over the extension period.
Andrew Noble, President of Gatso USA comments: "It has been a pleasure to work with the Township of Abington over the last three years, and we are excited to have earned this three year extension. The Township’s Board of Commissioners and Police Department personnel have worked hard to create and sustain a red-light running enforcement program based on sound enforcement practices and public transparency. We see this extension as their positive endorsement of the role we have to play in their program, and their resolve to improve the safety of their community for citizens and visitors alike.”
