Sensys Gatso receives an order for in-vehicle traffic enforcement systems from the Middle East
22-03-2018
Sensys Gatso Group, a global leader in traffic safety solutions, has received an order for in-vehicle based traffic enforcement systems from a governmental customer in Saudi Arabia. The order concerns the delivery of systems to a potential total value of EUR 10 million, corresponding to SEK 100 million. The order is under condition that both parties agree on final terms and conditions.
The order is expected to be broken down into delivery batches of approximately EUR 800 thousand each. The first delivery is expected in Q2 2018. Sensys Gatso Group will update the market upon each further delivery milestone reached.
This order comes after an extensive type approval process based on a demanding test script that was carried out on local roads in Saudi Arabia. In addition, as part of the same process a customized software upgrade was successfully designed and installed in collaboration with the customer.
“The use of our in-vehicle systems has proven to be a very effective way to reduce road casualties and we are delighted to continue our sale of this solution in a new market in the Middle East. A very knowledgeable customer combined with a large market in need of mobile enforcement solutions makes this order extra interesting.” says Saman Alae Naziri, General Manager, Sensys Gatso Group MENA.
Sensys Gatso’s T-series in-vehicle systems have a great impact on driver behaviour as they are unpredictable in time and location. They can be deployed in large quantities rather fast without having to install fixed units on the roadsides.
