Sensys Gatso has been awarded the Low Emission Zone enforcement contract in the city of Amsterdam worth SEK 6 million

28-11-2018

Sensys Gatso Group, a global leader in traffic safety solutions, has been awarded a contract for the enforcement of the Low Emission Zone in the city of Amsterdam. The contract duration is five years. The total contract value over the contract period amounts to EUR 500,000, corresponding to SEK 6 million.

The contract is awarded to a 2-party consortium whereby Sensys Gatso Netherlands is providing its software platform Puls in a hosted environment. Puls is enforcing the entry to the Amsterdam Low Emission Zone of passing vehicles (including mopeds) at approximately 170 locations in Amsterdam. By not allowing polluting vehicles into the city centre of Amsterdam, the new solution contributes to a more sustainable city.

“We are excited to be able to contribute to a more sustainable way of road travel in Amsterdam. It is our mission to save lives in traffic by changing traffic behaviour. We believe we can also save lives in the long term by contributing to decreasing pollution in cities.” says Niki Gatsonides, CEO, Sensys Gatso Netherlands.

Puls from Sensys Gatso is a scalable software platform that collects evidential data, which is utilized by government institutions for enforcement and control purposes. Puls takes inputs from camera systems and other data sources, correlates events and can apply diverse logic to detect events of interest in real-time.
