Sensys Gatso receives a five-year TRaaS contract valued at SEK 34 million for school zone photo enforcement in the city of East Providence, Rhode Island

Sensys Gatso Group, a global leader in traffic safety solutions, through its American subsidiary, Sensys Gatso USA is now under contract with East Providence, R.I. for Red Light Enforcement and School Zone Speed Enforcement valued at approximately USD 4 million, corresponding to SEK 34 million, over the five-year contract period.
East Providence will be the second traffic enforcement contract for Sensys Gatso Group in the state of Rhode Island. Toward the end of 2019, Sensys Gatso began an enforcement program in neighboring Pawtucket, R.I. also utilizing red light cameras and school zone speed enforcement to slow traffic down and provide safer school zones for its children. The planned start date for this new program is Q1 of 2021 with cameras being installed in key areas and with the potential for expansion from there if the need arises. Several of the school zones marked for enforcement are located on high volume roads leading into the state capital of Providence where enforcement is most needed.
