Sensys Gatso Receives Five-Year TRaaS Contract Extension in Abington, Pennsylvania worth SEK 23 million
16-11-2020
Sensys Gatso Group, a global leader in traffic safety solutions has, through its subsidiary Sensys Gatso USA, signed a five-year, TRaaS contract extension with Abington, PA, valued at approximately $2,500,000 USD over the contract period, corresponding to SEK 23 million.
The partnership between Sensys Gatso and the Township of Abington began in 2014, when red light cameras were installed at intersections with the highest traffic volumes and where traffic safety was an on-going concern. At that time, Abington was the first qualifying municipality in Pennsylvania to implement an intersection enforcement program subsequent to the newly enacted state legislation that expanded photo enforcement beyond the City of Philadelphia. This third extension to the initial contract is a testament to the public safety focus being promoted by the current Commission and Chief of Police, Patrick Malloy.
“We are looking forward to continuing our partnership with the team in Abington. The ongoing dedication and diligence of the police department with regard to managing this program on a daily basis has made it the success that it is”, says Andrew Noble, President of Sensys Gatso USA. “We are so pleased to be serving the Township of Abington through the end of November, 2025”.
