Sensys Gatso receives an order from Uruguay, worth SEK 9 million

Sensys Gatso Group, a global leader in traffic safety solutions, through its subsidiary Sensys Gatso LATAM, has received an order for the supply and support of traffic enforcement systems from CIEMSA, our partner in Uruguay. This order is part of the National project for road safety in Uruguay promoted by Corporacion Vial de Uruguay.
The Ministry of Transport and Public Works and the National Corporation for Development of Uruguay have awarded a concession contract to the local operator, Ciemsa, which includes the supply, implementation, operation and maintenance of an Electronic Detection System for the traffic in the national road network. Sensys Gatso LATAM will supply traffic enforcement systems to Ciemsa.
The program is expected to be fully installed and operational by the third quarter of 2023, with delivery from Sensys Gatso to its partner in the fourth quarter of 2022.
Sensys Gatso has established Sensys Gatso LATAM to be able to enter into the different markets in the LATAM region. This first order in Uruguay is the result of the increased sales activities in this strategic region. Uruguay represents one of the most attractive markets for traffic enforcement solutions within the region.
Sensys Gatso’s proven technology provides a reliable system to measure and enforce speed. Speed enforcement greatly influences driving behavior and has a direct impact on road safety.
