Sensys Gatso Australia receives TRaffic enforcement as a Service (TRaaS) order for expansion of services in Tasmania to the value of SEK 26 million
08-06-2023
Sensys Gatso Group, a global leader in traffic safety solutions, through its subsidiary Sensys Gatso Australia, has received multiple orders for the provision of additional Speed Enforcement and Distracted Driver Enforcement services as part of the Automated Traffic Offence Enforcement (ATOE) Program in the State of Tasmania. The orders are for a 2 year period and the combined contract value is AUD 3.6 million corresponding to approximately SEK 26 million.
The orders are for the expansion of the existing ATOE Program which is delivered as a subscription service covering Managed Services and Software as a Service deliverables. The orders include increased hours of deployment for Speed Enforcement and the introduction of additional functionality for Distracted Driver Enforcement.
The solution will increase trailer based and vehicle based speed enforcement systems deployed on the roads of Tasmania in the second half of 2023. It will also deploy technology to capture illegal mobile phone and seatbelt use through a Distracted Driver solution. This is a global first deployment for the Sensys Gatso organisation.
The existing ATOE contract also enables the future inclusion of optional additional enforcement, when activated by the customer, for Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR), Mobile Point to Point Enforcement, and In-Motion Enforcement solutions.
Sensys Gatso Australia's Managing Director Enzo Dri comments: "After commencing the base program with the Department of State Growth in Tasmania in 2022, this is an example of how a collaborative working relationship with a common goal can expand a successful road safety program across a state jurisdiction. This expansion increases our TRaaS delivery in Australia and is a showcase of the breadth of our enforcement solutions by enabling Tasmania to use additional methods to target the reduction of injuries and fatalities across the road network.”
