Sensys Gatso receives a seven-year TRaaS contract for traffic safety in Bensalem worth SEK 22 million, expanding the footprint in Pennsylvania

Sensys Gatso Group, a global leader in traffic safety solutions, through its subsidiary, Sensys Gatso USA, has executed a seven-year base-term automated red light enforcement contract with the Township of Bensalem, PA. The contract is estimated to be worth up to $2.1 million (USD) corresponding to SEK 22 million. The program will include red light enforcement systems and is anticipated to begin in early fall.
William McVey, Director of Public Safety for Bensalem Township Police Department says, “Our goal is to reduce the number of traffic accidents and red light violations at these intersections through education and enforcement. Over time we believe this technology, in combination with our directed traffic enforcement efforts, will change driver behaviour and make these intersections safer for our community. We look forward to our partnership with Sensys Gatso and making our roadways safer for travel.”

Sensys Gatso USA now has three contracts in the State of Pennsylvania.
