Sensys Gatso has been selected as a vendor to deliver Average Speed Enforcement in the Netherlands, with an estimated revenue of SEK 84 million
14-06-2024
Sensys Gatso Group, a global leader in traffic safety solutions, through its subsidiary Sensys Gatso Netherlands, has been selected as one of four vendors for a procurement contract to supply, operate and support section control systems for average speed enforcement on highways in The Netherlands. Sensys Gatso expects to receive its fair share. The contract value for Sensys Gatso is approximately EUR 8 million or SEK 84 million over the minimum contract period of 6 years. The recurring TRaaS revenue, relating to Service, Maintenance and Operations of the section control systems, is estimated at SEK 48 million, or 57% of the total contract value. The remaining part of SEK 36 million, is System Sales revenue. The investment by the Dutch Public Prosecution Services authority is aiming to replace the existing automated traffic enforcement infrastructure.
This decision may be appealed during a period of the next 20 days. The procurement contract is expected to be signed on July 5th, 2024 after which the project will kick-off. Sensys Gatso will adapt and install its FLUX roadside system platform and tailor its PULS Analytics platform to fulfill the requirements, enabling the customer to continuously monitor the enforcement systems and efficiently handle large volumes of data. The first milestones are expected to be realised at the end of 2024 and the first section control system will be commissioned and delivered in the second half of 2025. Additional section control systems will be installed and commissioned during 2026.
TRaaS Service and Maintenance as well as Operational activities will commence after deployment of the total solution with a fixed term of 6 years with multiple possible extensions up to a maximum of total 12 years.
This project will replace current section control enforcement systems on highways in The Netherlands, including some of the sites currently operated by Sensys Gatso. With the signing of a new procurement contract, Sensys Gatso has secured this TRaaS business in its home market and will provide the Dutch government with a new state of the art enforcement solution based on Sensys Gatso’s FLUX platform.
Niki Gatsonides, Managing Director of Sensys Gatso Netherlands B.V. comments: "We are very proud of continuing our long standing relationship with the Dutch Public Prosecution Service. We have been able to provide a competitive bid in the tender as we are a global leader in traffic safety. I am sure that our flexible Analytics platform, PULS, the next-generation technology of FLUX, and our solid service delivery history have been important in winning this award. We are looking forward to implementing and managing this network of section control systems for the Dutch government.”
