Sensys Gatso receives its first Colorado TRaaS contract for traffic safety in Longmont, worth SEK 24 million

Sensys Gatso Group, a global leader in traffic safety solutions, through its subsidiary, Sensys Gatso USA, has executed a six-year base term automated red light and speed enforcement contract with the City of Longmont, Colorado. This is the company’s first contract in the state.
The contract is estimated to be worth up to $2.2 million (USD) corresponding to SEK 24 million. The program is anticipated to begin in late spring of 2025 with a combination of fixed and portable solutions.
“We are using technology as a force multiplier to help with speed and red-light enforcement,” said Longmont police chief Jeff Satur. “We can’t be everywhere, and these tools will help reduce speed, which lowers the risk of injury or severity of injury, and the red-light enforcement will reduce accidents associated with red light violations.”
“My team is very excited to work with the City of Longmont on this traffic safety project,” said Sensys Gatso USA President and Managing Director, Bill Braden. “We look forward to partnering with them to address their traffic safety concerns. Through technology, automated traffic enforcement becomes a force multiplier for the City at a time when local resources are stretched.
